Andrew Finlayson joined the California State Controllerís Office in 1983 and currently serves as the chief of the State Agency Audits Bureau for the Controllerís Division of Audits.
With more than 30 years in the auditing field, Finlayson has led and managed a multitude of audits and projects, including financial and performance audits and management services for a wide array of public entities. Most notably, he has led and been involved with the following audits that included auditing bonds:
- Los Angeles Community College District
- City of Bell
- Delta College District
He has shared his school bond auditing knowledge with the California League of Bond Oversight Committees (CALBOC) as a speaker.
Finlaysonís current responsibilities include managing and directing a group of seven managers and 40 staff and performing a variety of audits of State agencies.
He received his bachelor of science degree in accountancy and finance from California State University, Sacramento.
