The federally-funded State Charter School Facilities Incentive Grants Program assists high performing charter schools in offsetting on-going costs as well as acquisition, construction, and renovation. The three-year grant provides funding for rent, lease, Pro 39 pro-rata payments, mortgage, construction costs, or debt service.
2026-27 Funding Round
The Authority expects to open the 2026-27 Funding Round application period on August 1st, 2026. The application will be online only and can be found on this webpage. The application deadline will be September 15th. The initial eligibility review will be completed by October 15th, and preliminary Preference Point notices and proposed award calculations will be determined after CDE certified assessment data is released in mid-November. Final grant award determinations will be made upon approval of the CSFA Board in January/February 2027. Initial disbursements will be made retroactively to July 1st, 2026 as appropriate.
