For many years, land-secured financing has been a critical public finance tool in the development of new homes across the state, but more recently it has become an accepted mechanism to provide public services and to address calls for non-traditional solutions to California’s housing crisis. The integration of community facilities districts and tax increment districts have also led to the development of potent long-term financing strategies for infrastructure, housing, and economic development. This program builds from the fundamental land-secured topics to examine current district formation, finance, and administration practices, and explores the strategic application of land-secured and tax increment financing tools to meet a variety of current public finance challenges.

  • Certificate of Attendance: CDIAC will issue a Certificate of Attendance to those who sign in at the registration desk. Certificates are issued within 2 weeks after the program. Participants can submit their Certificate of Attendance to their governing entity to request credits. CDIAC’s education programs are accepted by many governing entities as certifiable.
  • County Treasurers/Tax Collectors: Under California Government Code Section 27000.8, CDIAC’s educational programs are a source for California county treasurers, tax collectors, or treasurer/tax collectors to obtain continuing education credits.
  • Accountants: CDIAC is not an approved provider of CPE credits, however certificates of attendance can be submitted to your governing entity to request credits.
  • Attorneys | MCLE Credits: CDIAC is an approved provider of Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) General Credits. This event is approved for 1.75 General Credits.
